A Little About Me

As I said above I am a second-year business student, but I am also a mature student, before I decided to come to university I traveled and spent time abroad as well as having had a 10-year career in hospitality and catering, this has given me a strong work ethic in general.

Since coming to university I have been very involved with the LGBT+ Network I was on the committee for three years and ran it for two of those! I have had the pleasure of representing Staff at NUS as well as having been involved with the launch of the Trans inclusion policy at the university and also led the team that set up and ran a conference involving over 30 universities on best practices for supporting LGBT+ students on campus's, an event I want to bring back in 2022/23.

I was part of the volunteer team that responded to the halls' flooding, helping to support students who were displaced by those events, in addition to this I have fundraised for Movember constantly on campus since starting at the university.

I have been a part of the information team for the students union since my first year but you may have seen me working in Verve in the past or for GreenPad as well!

I worked as a Career Coach for the university last year and I have been a consistent NUS delegate for the university!

I currently serve as your Vice President, I would love the opportunity to continue and build upon my work for a further year as I have some big ideas to improve the university experience for all students while continuing the good work I have been doing all year consistently. I have completed 84% of my section of the Team Manifesto, with the remaining 16% already started I expect to fully complete my work in time for a new team.
